Megan Anderson, Assistant Superintendent/Eagle Academy Principal

Megan Anderson has been an educator for 22 years.  After graduating from Augustana College with a degree in Elementary Education in 2002, Megan began her career at Rantoul City Schools teaching kindergarten at Broadmeadow Elementary.  Megan then moved to Pleasant Acres and spent 3 years teaching 2nd grade.  After pursuing a Masters of Education degree from the University of Illinois in Curriculum Development with an emphasis in Literacy and Language Arts Instruction, she accepted a Title 1 Reading position at Broadmeadow Elementary and taught there for 3 years. 

In 2009, Rantoul Township High School created an RTI (Response to Intervention) Coordinator position.  Megan applied for that position and has been at RTHS ever since.  Megan has earned a Master’s of Science degree from Eastern Illinois University in Educational Leadership and a Specialist degree in Education with superintendent certification. Megan is responsible for managing all federal and state grants, academic transcripts and supervising the counseling center, putting in place and monitoring academic interventions, the local MTSS (multi-tiered system of supports) program, as well as working with the ELT (Educational Leadership Team) to develop and implement building-wide curricular initiatives.  Additionally, Megan became the principal of Eagle Academy (the RTHS credit recovery program) in 2019. Megan is married to Zack Anderson, and they have two children.  Chase is currently a student at RTHS and Cooper attends the University of Illinois.
