Team Leader

Mrs. Ashley Bryan
Mrs. Ashley Bryan has been an educator for 14 years and has been a part of the Special Education team for all 14 of those years. She is currently the Special Education Counselor and Team Leader.
"I love being able to help my students meet their goals for graduation. This job gives me the opportunity to work with students more 1:1. I can help them with self advocacy skills and time management skills that will help them after they leave RTHS."

Ms. DeDe Graham

Mr. Josh Hinkley
Mr. Josh Hinkley has been teaching for 16 years and a part of the Special Education team for 3 years. He currently teaches a wide variety of classes, including Life Skills Consumer Skills, Co-Taught Health, Modified Health, Co-Taught Speech, Co-Taught Introduction to Business, Co-Taught Foundational Tech and Engineering, Co-Taught Woods, and Co-Taught Metals.
"My favorite part about teaching is creating relationships with the students! No matter what class I teach, I know I have a unique opportunity to get to know my students and to let them get to know me. I love an adventure and a new challenge, which is why teaching is perfect for me. Every day is a new adventure!"

Ms. Karen Hughes
Ms. Karen Hughes has been a teacher for 12 years and part of the Special Education team for 5 years. She currently teaches Functional English, Co-Taught English 2, and Co-Taught English 4.
"I love seeing students take pride in their work and their success! I love learning from my students and seeing all the beautiful, creative ideas they have."

Mrs. Leah Klavohn
Mrs. Leah Klavohn has been an educator for 15 years and a part of the RTHS Special Education team for 14 years. She currently teaches Modified English, Modified Geography, CT Foods 1, CT Child Development.
"I love that every day in the classroom is a new day with different challenges and adventures. I enjoy getting to know my students and watching them grow. Reading with students is one of my favorite parts of the day; I love hearing the connections made through books and engaging in classroom discussions."

Mrs. Casey Roelfs
Mrs. Casey Roelfs has been an educator for 15 years and a part of the RTHS Special Education team for 4 years. She currently teaches Co taught and Modified Strategic Literacy and Co taught Biology.
"It is fun to read different stories and see how students react to them."

Mrs. Michelle Strater
Mrs. Michelle Strater has been an educator for 29 years and a part of the RTHS Special Education team for 28 years. She also serves as an instructional coach for RTHS staffulty. She currently teaches Co-Taught and Modified Intro To Business as well as Co-Taught and Modified Government.
"For business, I love that students can relate to the real-life curriculum and how it will be useful as they grow into adults. For government, I love to inspire them to see how government impacts so many parts of their lives & how to be active citizens."

Mrs. Jacqueline Wright
Mrs. Jacqueline Wright has been an educator for 22 years and a part of the RTHS Special Education team for 5 years. She currently teaches Connections.
