Ms. Lisa Combs

Social Worker (A-L)
Lisa is a school social worker with a clinical social worker license. After graduating from  RTHS in 1984, she received a Bachelor’s degree from North Central College. She then earned Masters Degrees in Educational Psychology from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and Social Work from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Beginning her school social work career in 1996, Lisa wanted to work “where the students are”. After working at Vermilion Association for Special Education for 20 years, she began working at at Rantoul Township High School in 2017, and enjoys getting to know and support RTHS students. Providing a safe, confidential place to be seen and heard is important for adolescents, and working in Room 200, that is what we strive to provide. Lisa provides individual and group counseling, consults with staff, participates on committees, is a case manager for 504’s, and has been the Homeless Liasion. Her RTHS claim to fame is being the granddaughter of Bill Walsh of RTHS’s very own Bill Walsh Field.
